Purple People Eater
This purple, drapey tank was one of my favorites for a long time. In fact, I wore it on my birthday last year. But now, as you can see, it swallows me whole.
The conversion was fairly simple. I snipped the straps and untwisted them. Then I removed a good six inches or so to pull it up a bit before I stitched them back together. That's it! I didn't even try to take in the sides at all since the multiple layers of this top (one drapey and one more fitted underneath) would have made it a bit more difficult to take in.
So with a couple quick cuts and simple stitching, this ginormous shirt is totally wearable again!

How often do you refashion? Once a week, twice a week? I'm just amazed at all your wonderful creations!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I usually only refashion once or twice a week, mainly on the weekends. But I sometimes spend just about all weekend sewing and then post my remakes throughout the week.
ReplyDeleteI love what you've refashioned this top into. I think it suits you better.
ReplyDeleteI wish I was as clever as you are with sewing.
