A Simple Solution

I picked up this cute summery dress at the thrift store this afternoon for just $6. Now that may sound like a lot for a thrifted dress, but this baby was brand new with the tags still on it - originally $29.99. $6 is sounding better now, huh? And look at that lovely embroidery! The only problem: it was a size (or maybe even two) too large.

Now there was plenty of elasticity in the shirred waistband, and extra fabric in a flowy skirt is never an issue. So all I really need to do was take in the top portion a bit.

A couple bust darts, and we're all set! Much better.
