Sunday Sew-Day: Larkspur Skirt

Another quickie refash was all I had time for this weekend. In fact, it's a re-refash! I down-sized it from a 20 to a 10-ish a couple years ago.

I loss a little more weight after that, and now the skirt fits even better, BUT I still found myself never wearing it. The length was just all wrong.

So I whipped out the scissors and cut off about 8 inches from the outer fabric and the lining.

And I rehemmed them both.

A quick press of the pleats, and we're all set!

I will definitely be wearing this more often now!

  5. I don't think I'll ever really get over how simply shortening a garment can make a world of difference ... slow learner, maybe LOL This is really cute.

    1. Thanks! That's usually the first thing I try when I'm playing with a refashionable garment in the mirror - fold up the bottom and see if removing some length would help!
