I finished this scarf a couple weeks ago, but have been forgetting to take pictures until now.
The yarn came from a yarn shop in Hawaii, near Kona, though I believe it is available stateside as well. It's called Frog Tree Pediboo, and it's a merino/bamboo blend. It was positively lovely to work with, soft and smooth, and need I remind you, I adore orange.
The pattern is called Not a Drop and is quite clever. It looks like a drop stitch pattern, but, as the name would suggest, it's not. It's created with yarnovers and decreases, and it's even reversible! The designer is not a native English speaker, so it took a couple read-throughs to figure out the stitch pattern. However, once I understood it, it was easy to remember.
If I had it to do over again, I think I would cast on more stitches - make a wider, shorter shawl rather than a long skinny scarf. Not that I don't love my new scarf. Because I do.
