Wonder Woman Wrap: The Sequel

Following last month's release of my Wonder Woman Wrap knitting pattern, I have been absolutely inundated with requests for a crochet version as well as a child's size. Of course, I am only too happy to oblige!

So I've spent the past several weeks making calculations, working up swatches and samples, and obviously, having my very first crochet pattern thoroughly tested by experienced crocheters to make sure it's up to snuff.

Now, I am pleased to announce the release of a crocheted Wonder Woman Wrap, in addition to the re-release of the knitting pattern - and both versions now include two sizes! The original "Wondrous" size is perfect for wrapping up all cozy-like, while the "Wee" size is ideal for children, or maybe just an adult who fancies more of a scarf than a shawl.

    1. One of Ravelry's volunteer editors changed the pattern name from "Wonder Woman Wrap" to "Wonder Woman Wrap (crochet)" for clarification, but unfortunately, that broke the link. I fixed the link on this post a couple days ago, as soon as I realized it wasn't working, but hopefully you've already found it on your own. Happy stitching!

  2. Thanks, I tried the link just today, and a gain after your reply.
The link to the crochet pattern works, the one to the knit pattern does not.

  3. I was able to deduce the URL:
    http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/wonder-woman-wrap-knit
    not
    http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/wonder-woman-wrap-2
which is where the link above the last page takes you.
    Thanks!

    1. Egads! It looks like a different volunteer editor just changed the name of the knit version to include "(knit)" as well,, thus breaking my other link. Thanks for letting me know!

  4. Hi Carissa! I am trying the crochet version, and I'm stuck on the lower triangle. Mine ends up with a 1 - 1 1/2" gap on either side, but the numbers works out. What am I doing wrong? Thank in advance.

    1. My first guess is that you may not be skipping the next unworked stitch from the Bottom Border before you work your last 2 single crochet stitches of each short-row. If you could send a clear, well-lit photo of your work to CarissaKnits@gmail.com, then I may be able to help diagnose the problem better.

  7. I am trying to crochet this and I’m having an awful time. Lol. I’ve not been crocheting very long and the lower triangle is kicking my behind. I have crocheted and taken it part so many times. The area that I live in now doesn’t have any shops or anyone that teaches to ask them for help. Do you have any videos of doing that part of the wrap? I’d greatly appreciate your help!
    Thanks,
    Sarah

    1. I'm sorry to hear that, Sarah. I don't know of any instructional videos for the crocheted version yet. If only I had infinite time on my hands, I could make one myself, but until that fantasy comes to fruition... if you could send a clear, well-lit photo of your work to CarissaKnits at gmail dot com, then I can try to help diagnose the problem and walk you through a solution.

  9. Hello Carissa, thank youbfor the crochet pattern. I've done the first triangle. Have you got a good tutorial for weaving ends? Thanks!

  10. Hey, Sarah S, did you ever get your shawl crocheted? I've tried mine four times using stitch markers every ten stitches to make sure my count is right and I still can't get it to work. I wondered if you found a solution.
