Megan asked us to clean out our closets this week and pull out something we haven't worn in a while. I dug deep and found this little number I thrifted two and a half years ago for our anniversary trip to Hawaii aaaaaaand I don't think I've worn it even once since then.
There's nothing like waking up to a gorgeous sunrise over the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean just a few feet from your lanai.
The little lake - hardly more than a pond really - at a nearby park doesn't even hold a candle to it.
The orange floral print on this dress reminds me of all the breathtaking blooms we found on vacation.
I selected an orange statement necklace, also a neglected piece in my wardrobe, to accent the dress' pattern.
And of course, you'll need the proper footwear if you're going to hike for miles and miles over old, hardened lava flows to spend an hour poking active lava with a stick.
My olive green Converse would not have been appropriate for that task, but they were perfect for a stroll in the park culminating in a lakeside photo shoot.
Thanks, Megan, for this trip down Memory Lane. I could really use another Hawaiian vacation!

Its a throwback AND a thrift style thursday! Love this - and the little trip down memory lane, the dress is perfect for Hawaii (but also kinda perfect just for life in general)

The botanical garden (and just the whole Big Island really) was absolutely beautiful! It was hard to pick only two flower pics to post!
